Myanmar Ambassador to China attends and delivers an opening remarks at the inauguration ceremony of “China-ASEAN Artificial Industry Innovation Center”

His Excellency U Zaw Win Myint, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to the People’s Republic of China attended and delivered an opening remarks at the inauguration ceremony of the “China-ASEAN Artificial Intelligence Industry Innovation Center,” held at the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology in Beijing on 24th May 2026 at 14:00 hours at the invitation of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China.

In his remarks, the Ambassador stated that the establishment of the “ASEAN-China Artificial Intelligence Industry Innovation Center” represents the implementation of the strategic vision adopted at the 6th ASEAN Digital Ministers’ Meeting and related meetings held in Hanoi, Vietnam. He also noted that, in accordance with the decisions reached at the meeting, the successful establishment of the Center marks a significant milestone in regional digital cooperation. Ambassador further expressed his understanding that the Center would serve as an important driving force for technological advancement and regional integration. In his remarks, he also conveyed Myanmar’s deep appreciation to the host government and all stakeholders for their dedicated efforts in establishing the Center and expressed confidence that it would usher in a new era of cooperation and development in the digital age.

At the ceremony, H.E. Mr. Ke Jixin, Vice Minister of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China, H.E. Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, Secretary-General of ASEAN also delivered their speeches and representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, representatives from the Department of Industry and Information Technology of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, representatives from the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, diplomats from ASEAN embassies in Beijing, and representatives from information and technology companies of the People’s Republic of China were also attended.
