Myanmar Embassy Ladies led by Ambassador’s Spouse Madame Myint Myat Myat Soe hosted rotating Tea Gathering Event of the ASEAN Ladies’ Circle (ALC) at the Myanmar Embassy in Beijing on 28th August 2026.

The event was attended by spouse of Myanmar Ambassador, Cambodia Madam Ambassador, spouses of other ASEAN Ambassadors as well as Spouse of Secretary-General of the ASEAN-China Centre, and lady diplomats and spouses from ASEAN Embassies.

In her opening remarks, Madame Myint Myat Soe, spouse of the Ambassador of Myanmar to China, extended a warm welcome to ASEAN Ladies’ Circle (ALC) members at the Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Beijing. She highlighted that this event marked her first hosting of the ALC, reaffirming Myanmar's enduring commitment to actively participating in ASEAN initiatives. Reflecting on the success of last year's presentation on the traditional customs of Myanmar Thanakha, she expressed her delight in showcasing another vibrant facet of Myanmar’s significant heritage: "Myanmar Traditional Dance." The cultural program featured a presentation on the essence of traditional dance and evolvement of dance forms along with the successive eras, followed by a professional performer with the songs of Hmong Shwe Yi song, Navarat Kothwe (Nawarat: The Nine Precious Gems) song, and Bagan dance melodies.

Additionally, Embassy Ladies performed a group dance with a traditional orchestra (remix) song “Sai Kyite Té Maung,” along which also been joined together by ASEAN ladies joyfully. The event was concluded with a reception featuring authentic Myanmar food, typically Mohinga (Fish soup), Nan Gyi Thoke (Thick Rice Noodle Salad), Laphet Thoke (Tealeaf Salad), Kauknyin Paung and A Kyaw Sone (Steamed Sticky rice and Fritters), and Kyauk Kyaw (Coconut Jelly).
